3.Toplantı/ The Third Meeting ( 12.11.14)

- Firstly we talked about  the main important parts of the presentation such as the survey, fishbone diagram and the roadmap.
- We had thought that we might use Google Doodle to carry out the survey but then we changed our mind and İdil went to her high school to conduct the survey.
- We talked about the results of the surveys.
- We also voted for the reasons of the problem( Why aren't students able to choose their fields properly?)  Then we found the the system in Turkey was the reason.
- We talked about the future of our presentation and what to do further.

2. TOPLANTI ( 4 KASIM 2014/SALI)

-Bu toplantımızda ilk önce  Hayal Hoca'ya teslim etmemiz gereken formu dodurduk. Bu form hepimiz hakkında genel bilgileri ve grup içindeki görev paylaşımını içeriyordu.
- Alan seçimi konusunda yapılacak olan anketi kabataslak oluşturduk ve anketimiz öğrencilere, öğretmenlere uygulanacak.
-Anket sorularını gerekirse  Google Doodle'ı kullanıp paylaşmayı düşünüyoruz.
-Anket konusunu İdil üstlendi ve okuluna gidip hem öğretmenlerle hem de öğrencilerle bireysel olarak görüşecek.
- Anketi yaparken ses kaydı yapmanın veya video çekmenin güzel bir fikir olduğuna karar verdik ve slaytta bu videolar da yer alacak.
-Ayrıca Gözde  annesinin okulundaki öğretmen ve öğrencilere de doodle üzerinden açtığımız anketi yollama fikrini öne sürdü.

-In this meeting, we firstly filled out the form about our project which was supposed to be handed in to Hayal Kösal. This form included some general information about us and our positions in our project. 

-We formed the first draft of the survey and the survey will be conducted to both teachers and students. 

-We are planning to share the survey by using Google Doodle if necessary.
-İdil wanted to take the survey on and she is going to meet both students and teachers in person.
-We thought that it would be a good idea to record or tape the survey while carrying out and this video will be in the presentation.
-Plus, Gözde suggested sending the survey through Doodle to the teachers and students in the high school in which her mother worked.

1. TOPLANTI/ 1st Meeting (September 22 )

-22 Ekim Salı günü saat 18.00'de kütüphanemizin bünyesinde bulunan sesli çalışma salonunda toplandık.
-Bu ilk toplantımızdı ve toplantımızı iki bölüme ayırdık.
- İlk toplantımız olduğu için projemizin ilerleyişi ve geleceği hakkında konuştuk, planlar yaptık.
-Balık Kılçığı metodunu kullanarak beyin fırtınası yaptık ve seçtiğimiz sorunun kaynaklandığı nedenleri saptadık.
- Aynı zamanda bir sonraki toplantıya kadar neler yapacağımızı  konuştuk.
-Projemiz için bir logo oluşturup oluşturamayacağımızı tartıştık ve İdil proje için bir şeyler karaladı.
-Gözde aramızda olamasa da balık kılçığını bilgisayara geçirme işini üstlendi ve Hayal Hocanın onayına sundu.

-We met in Study Room belonging to our  library on 22 September, Friday at 6 pm.
- It was our first meeting and we divided the meeting into two categories.
-As it was our first meeting, we talked about the future and developing of our project and made plans.
-We brainstormed by using the fishbone diagramme and determined the reasons for the problem we had chosen.
-We also talked about what to do about our project until the next meeting.
-We discussed whether we could design a logo or not for our project  and İdil drew some possible options.
-Although Gözde couldn't take part in the meeting, she drew the backbone for the slide and sent it to Hayal Köksal.

    Merhabalar! Biz Boğaziçi Üniversitesi İngilizce Öğretmenliği 1. sınıfta okuyan , kılıç tutmasını bile bilmeyen Elvan Karabulut,Elif Dedeoğlu,Hakan Bardakçı, İdil 

Ügüt ve Gözde Sızan'dan oluşan 5 silahşörleriz. ED 101 yani Eğitime Giriş dersini aldığımız sayın Hayal KÖKSAL'ın isteği üzerine bu bloğu kurduk.

    Hello! We are the five muskeeters who don't know how to hold a sword and are freshman students in  Foreign Language Education Department in Boğaziçi University. Our project group includes Elvan Karabulut, Elif Dedeoğlu, Hakan Bardakçı, İdil Ügüt and Gözde Sızan. We decided to make this blog at the  request of Hayal Köksal, who lectures our Introduction to Education (ED 101) course.

NERDEN ÇIKTINIZ SİZ PEKİ? / WELL, HOW DID THIS GROUP EMERGE?

     İlk dersimizde, Hayal Hoca bizden 5'erli gruplara ayırdı ve şuanki eğitim sisteminde yolunda gitmeyen bir şeylerden bahsetmemizi istedi. Bizim aklımıza da öğrencilerin lisede bir şekilde ilgi ve yeteneklerine göre doğru alanı seçememesi geldi.  Bu Bilişimci Martılar için proje konumuz oldu  "Students' being Restricted while choosing their fields based upon their interests and abilities " (Öğrencilerin ilgi ve yeteneklerine göre alan seçerken kısıtlanması) adını aldı.

    In our first lecture, our lecturer Hayal Köksal divided the class into 5  people groups and wanted us to talk about something which is not on the right track in our education system.  What came to our mind was the fact that students aren't able to choose their fields in high school according to their interests and abilities.  This actually became our ICT Seagulls Project's subject  and it take the name  "Students' being Restricted while choosing their fields based upon their interests and abilities "
